Sharlrita J DeLoatch, is an Boston, Massachusetts native. She later moved to Nash County, Rocky Mount NC where she now resigns. She is married to Anthony Q DeLoatch and together they are parents of 7 beautiful children. ( 4 boys and 3 girls). Family means everything to her and she thanks God each day for her huge family. Sharlrita is currently pursuing her Associates Degree in Business at Liberty University. She is under the leadership of Bishop Shelton C. Daniel Pastor of Greater Joy Missionary Baptist church in Rocky Mount/Roanoke Rapids NC.  Sharlrita is also a newly published author of “The Apple of His Eye,” a collaborative book 12 other women and share our struggles and victories of being a single mother.  She is also an up and coming Motivational Speaker, ready to transform lives.

She is also the CEO/ Visionary of My G.I.R.L.S. Inc (Girls In Real Life Situations) a mentoring program for young girls ages 9-12. Known as the Self-Esteem Expert, Sharlrita knows the importance of having self confidence about yourself in order to change your whole world. Dr. Aikyna Finch, currently a University Professor, with more than 18 years of professional experience in the education, career management, and training sectors.  She’s earned her Doctorate of Management at Colorado Technical University.  She has masters degrees in Marketing Management from Strayer University, a Master of Business Administration in Technology Management and an Executive Master of Business Administration from Colorado Technical University. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Tennessee State University.

MLM Maven of the Month – Helene Kirkley (Nerium International)

Helene Kirkley journey started the day before her second child, Gabrielle was born – it was December 18^th,  2005 and her husband simply said he didn’t love her anymore and that he wanted out and he left.   Helene believed and knew God had a plan! She did not!

Helene had bee a stay at home mom for her son, Oliver and she was determined to do the same for her daughter, so her only option was Nannying – “having a British accent certainly helped – think Supernanny!!” She and her family eventually relocated from their marital home in Destin, Florida to Woodstock, Georgia, where she continued to nanny; But through it all, Helene still felt a need to have an outlet, outside of the daily routine, as well as a way to supplement her income.  Helene found herself trying a few different business opportunities, which were all great.  With her time at GoldMax, she learned a lot about working with all types of people and how important relationships are when it comes to building a business.

As mentioned earlier, God had a plan for Helene.  August of 2012, she was contacted by a salesperson from GoldMax about the Nerium opportunity.  This was at a time when her child support had completely ceased and she was now only depending on her income alone, but it wasn’t enough.   Helene said, “I flat out, almost yelled NO, I could not think straight, I was scared and panicking, adrenalin flowing, sleepless nights playing the what if game……the last thing I could consider was starting a business.”  It was after trying the product for 5 days, just so her up-line would stop harassing her, that she saw a difference in her skin and that this opportunity may be her chance for some significant income.  “ALL I was hoping and praying for when I said Yes to the Nerium opportunity was earning an I Pad for Oliver as couldn’t afford it, and extra $1000 a month, as that was no longer coming in child support.  Other people get Lexus cars, other people earn unlimited residual income, other people buy their parents homes and travel the world – but an I Pad and a $1000 looked amazing in my eyes.”  Helene did just that is so much more.

Today, just two years later, Helene now has an organization of over 750 fabulous representatives, happy best people ever; She has a brand new Lexus, 25 on her team also have their Lexus cars.   In May of 2014, Helene earned a $50,000 bonus, and she  just returned from a 5 star all inclusive free trip to Cancun, Mexico.  The most touching piece was that, in 9 years, Helene had been unable to go back to her home in England, due to finances-this Summer her daughter went for 8 weeks, and Helene finally went home for two weeks with her son to show them both their British heritage.  Amazing!

Quick Meal Tip for Mompreneurs

As a Mompreneur with 3 Children and an amazing husband, days can be a bit busy.  My children are now at that age where they are involved in sports and activities.  My son is playing football, my daughter is a cheerleader, youngest is my active shadow and my husband is the football team’s head coach.  There is practice every day and we are non-stop.  So how can a mompreneur get anything done?  Well, I just wanted to share two items that I purchased this week, which really cut my time down in the kitchen.  I am all about shopping on a budget and spending more time as a mompreneur then a chef.

At Target, they were having a sale on two frozen items that are a staple in my house, chicken and fish.  I purchased, Target brand, “Market Pantry,” Four Cheese & Herb Seasoned Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast.  It was delicious and the bag came with about 10 pieces of chicken, enough for at least 2 meals for us.  What I liked most about this item was that you can put it in the oven, frozen, no need to thaw.  It only took 45-50 minutes in the oven, then done.  Now that is convenience.  Did I mention they were delicious?  I not only did I get the Four Cheese, but I also purchased the Garlic and Herb seasoned chicken as well.   The following day, I cubed the chicken and added to my romaine lettuce for a great tasting salad.  So I not only had a great dinner, but a fabulous lunch as well.

My second purchase was Simply Balanced Tilapia Filets.  This bag came with 6 large filets, unseasoned, and flash frozen.  For those who may not be familiar with the joy in flash frozen food, let me be the first to introduce you.  Each filet was packaged individually, so all I had to do was place them in water for 20 minutes and they were fully thawed and ready for seasoning.  I used a few ingredients for taste and put in right into the oven for 15 minutes.  They came out perfect and ready to eat.  Again, less time in the kitchen more time being a Mompreneur.

Our goal is to assist young ladies through challenging life transitions, including dealing with stressful changes at home or transitioning to different phases of adulthood by providing mentoring, life skills training and coaching. Yvonne’s Heart partners with middle schools, high schools, colleges and churches to provide educational and life skills training to help young ladies develop advanced life skills, career potential and to improve their connections to advanced education. The program components include one-on-one mentoring, monthly group sessions, peer support, specialized workshop sessions and transitional services.

Through mentoring and transitional services, Yvonne’s Heart will empower, encourage and enable the young ladies we serve to achieve higher education, stable housing, employment and abuse-free relationships. To achieve this vision Yvonne’s Heart will focus on programs that meet our core values and mission, create safe environment that fosters growth and provide opportunities for the young ladies we serve to give back and become leaders in their communities. Our vision is to open our first transitional home by 2015.

Eboni Speight is the Founder and CEO of Yvonne’s Heart. She has a passion for mentoring and empowering women and young ladies. She is motivated to share her story of hardships to triumph with young ladies to let them know they can be exactly who they were always purposed to be! She believes in helping ladies see the value that already lives inside of them.
