Towanna Freeman is a management consultant, executive coach, and advocate for youth. Freeman conducts workshops and conferences where she imparts a life-changing message that presents hope and inspiration. It is her purpose. It is her success. So much, in fact, that she has co-authored an award winning book, Purposeful Action, 7 Steps to Fulfillment, which reveals a seven-step method for identifying and effectively pursuing personal and professional goals.
Women and young girls receive help from Towanna B. Freeman to effectively identify and pursue personal goals in their quest toward obtaining more fulfilling lives. In 1999 Freeman founded the Young Women’s Empowerment Network designed to help teen girls realize their potential to succeed in life and in 2008 she launched a new empowerment conference called “GIRL PREP” that is designed for pre-teen girls.
She has spent the past 20 years working with thousands of professionals helping clients become a purposeful action organization focused on developing leaders who understand the power of taking daily purposeful action that creates alignment between the organization’s objectives and their employee’s aspirations. Freeman has extensive experience in both government and the private sector that has led to her serving a broad range of business executives, sales and IT (information technology) professionals. She uses her expertise helping businesses shape corporate strategies that produce positive bottom line benefits. Towanna is a trusted partner and problem solver for many clients tackling morale, employee retention, employee engagement, training and development in the post-recession world.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree Chemistry and Mathematics from Howard University in Washington, D.C. Her real world achievements have earned her a bevy of awards including an honorary doctorate degree and the Department of Army Outstanding Civilian Service Medal. Freeman received a doctorate in Divinity from Elbon Solutions College of Ministry. She received her certificates in Corporate Coaching and Core Energy Coaching from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching.
She is the principal consultant for Towanna Freeman & Associates, an active consultancy in the greater Washington, D.C. metro area, and the founder of the Black Life Coaches Network. Freeman has been featured on AOL Black Voices, AT&T’s “28 Days of Inspiration,” Jet magazine, Jet.com, and Essence.com.
